Billie F. Aalto, 72, of Charleston, died Sept. 8, 2000, in St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission where she was a volunteer worker for the Sojourners. She served as the "shoe lady" for Kanawha County schools. Surviving: daughters, Claudia Carney Jones and Ramona Aalto, both of Charleston; grandson, Mark Jones of Forty Fort, Pa.; niece, Jamie Hall of Sarasota, Fla.; nephews, Craig and Ty Cantley, both of Charleston.
