Elsie Lee Adams, 95, Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on May 29, 2014, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron. She had lived in Daviess and Caldwell Counties all of her life.

Elsie was born on May 29, 1919, in Daviess County, to Sanford and Clarice Briner. She was a 1937 graduate of the Gallatin, Mo., high school. She then graduated from the Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe. After graduation she worked for Farmer's Home Administration in Gallatin and then transferred to the Kingston, Mo., office. In 1955 she began working as a clerk for the Federal Government at the Selective Service Agency in Caldwell County and worked there for 19 years.

Elsie was a member of the Hamilton Federated Church, Hamilton, and she also enjoyed her bridge club.

On April 17, 1942, she married Richard "Dick" Adams in Platte City, Mo. He preceded her in death in 2006. Elsie was also preceded by her parents, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

Survivors: two sons, Bill (Nancy) Adams, Hamilton, and Jim (Sylvie) Adams, Lenexa, Ks; 2 grandchildren, Nathan (Jan) Adams and Niki (Corey) Lonjers, both of Kansas City, Mo.; 3 great-grandchildren, Margot and August Lonjers and Liliane Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Sunday, June 1, at the Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

There is no formal scheduled visitation.

Interment: Highland Cemetery, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamilton Federated Church.

Friends may call Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday after noon.
