Son of Thomas Aiken (1808–1877) and Candis Dill Aiken (1811–1889).
Laid to rest in Friendship churchyard beside his companion Mary Mornin Lanford Aiken (1852–1902) who had gone on some years ago to that beautiful home on high.
His funeral was preached by his pastor, W. H. Waters, who told of Mr. Aiken's faithfulness as a Christian and neighbor. He was faithful to his church and to all; he will be greatly missed in the Hebron community where he lived.
Survived by seven children; four boys and three girls; brothers and sisters, and a host of friends.
