Fenton Henry Cone, 75, who was custodian of Carnegie Library for many years before his retirement died suddenly at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at his home, 4115 Henderson street.

Funeral services had been set for 3:30 p.m. today from the James-Coker-Peters Chapel. Rev. W.B. McDaniel will officiate and burial will be in Forest Park.

Pallbearers will be: Brice Brooks, Robert Henderson, J.C. Mullins, Sr., C.W. Mullins, Jack Covington of Hughes Springs, and N.M. Mullins of Quinlan.

Mr. Cone was born in the Clinton community of Hunt County on July 31, 1874. He was the son of W.C. and Mary Frances Hendrix Cone, and had lived in and around Greenville all his life.

He was married to Mary Josephine Leakey on October 30, 1898, and she succumbed on January 2, 1942.

Mr. Cone had been a member of the Lamar Baptist Church several years.

Survivors include five brothers, A.B. Cone of Greenville, Calvin Cone of Denton, I.L. Cone and W.E. Cone of Hot Springs, N.M., and Crawford Cone of California; a sister, Mrs. B.L. Stedham of Mankin, Tex.; and one granddaughter, Mrs. Cal Wester of Frisco. Two sons, Walter Eric Cone and Fenton H. Cone, preceded him in death.
