The body of John H. Cone, 58, was found yesterday morning at his home, 618 Lee street, by two Borger Herald newscarriers.

Following a coroner's inquest, Cone, who served Carson county as sheriff from 1918 to 1923, was pronounced dead since Friday night, following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Baptist church, with the Rev. J.N. Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Highland cemetery under direction of the Powell Funeral Home.

Among survivors are a nephew, T.E. Russell of Panhandle; seven brothers, W.E. of Cabollo, N.M., B.C. of California, W.M. of Wichita Falls, I.L. of Clovis, N.M., F.H. and A.B. of Greenville, and E.C. of Sanger; and a sister, Mrs. A.B.C. Steadman of Fayetteville, Ark.

Cone was a night watchman at Phillips.
