Ella Judge (130700046)
Suggested edit: Mrs Mark Judge died Tuesday morning from the results of a short illness caused by childbirth and under unusually distressing and pathetic circumstances. The child was born Sunday and died almost immediately, but it was hoped that the young mother's life might be spared. All that the thoughtful love of husband and relatives could suggest, all that medical science could attempt, was brought into play, but proved fruitless and the bright young life succumbed at last to the struggle. The child, which was buried on Monday, will be disinterred and reburied with its mother.
The deceased was a native of Macroom, county of Cork, Ireland, and was the wife of Mark Judge the well known Northern Pacific machinist, the sister of J.M. Lucy of this city, and Mrs Patrick Hickey of Fort Missoula. She was raised and died in the Catholic faith and was a shining light in the household and in the church, beloved and respected by all who knew her. The young couple had been married only a year, and the blow falls with suddenness on the bereaved husband whose life with his wife had been one of uninterrupted happiness. The entire community will join in extending sympathy to the relatives which Providence has seen fit to visit so severely.
The funeral of Mrs Mark Judge took place Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence on East Spruce street. There were funeral services at the Cathedral and they and the funeral were attended by a large number of friends, anxious to show their esteem for the deceased and their sympathy with the sorrowing members of her family. The little baby was buried with its mother.
