Margory June Smerage Auble 87, of Indianapolis, died on February 21, 2009. Margory was born on June 25, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Guy Bertram and Jessie Odessiey (Overman) Smerage. Margory graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. She was a program specialist for Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service aka A.S.C.S.for the U.S. Government for over 30 years. She was a volunteer for the Indiana State Museum and a member of the Women s Army Auxiliary Corp. Margory was baptized and confirmed in her Lutheran faith where she continued to receive her spiritual food from Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George DaVall Auble. Margory is survived by her daughter, D. Kay (David) Longworth and grandchildren, Nick (Lauryn) Longworth, Katie Longworth, PVT, Michael Longworth, Gary (Lynn) Williams, Brett Williams and Penny Greengard and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 9101 West 10th Street, Indianapolis with calling from 9:00 a.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Clinton Co., Indiana.
