She was born on October 27, 1912 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Michale and Rosa (Marino) Magno.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls until moving to North Carolina in the early 1990s. During World War II she worked at Bell Aircraft, and later at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls, until her retirement. Mary was an excellent cook and loved preparing meals for her family. Most of all she will be remembered for her kindness and devotion to her family.
Mrs. Achilli was predeceased in death by her husband, Umberto Achilli in 1989. She is survived by her son, Orlando (Gwen) Achilli of Niagara Falls, NY; son-in-law, Ronald (Marie) Lauzau of North Carolina, and was predeceased in death by her daughter, Olga Lauzau and son, Oscar (late Patricia) Achilli. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Judith (Anthony) Grizanti, Suzanne Saunders, Kathy (John) Wrobel, Kerry (Laura) Achilli, Wendy Colucci, Lisa Achilli, Dr. Frank (Cheryl) Lauzau, Sharon (Mike) Williford, Annette (Joe) Wrenn, Steven (Darlene) Lauzau, Thomas (Tina) Lauzau, Miriam Tapper, Alice Scott, Mark (Rebecca) Boyd, Jay Boyd, Doreen McPherson, David McPherson and Lawrence (Emily) McPherson; 28 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
