Marriage Notice - Maryborough Chronicle dated Friday, October 23, 1896:
JABS - FUCHS
On September, 22nd, 1896, at the Lutheran Church, John Street, Maryborough, by the Rev. F.Copas, Ferdinand Jabs, eldest son of the late Godfried Jabs, to Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Adam Fuchs, both of Maryborough.

OBITUARY - Maryborough Chronicle dated 23rd January, 1943:
MRS E. JABS - The death of Mrs Elizabeth Jabs occurrred at an early hour yesterday morning at her residence, corner of Fort and North Streets, Maryborough, after a long illness. The late Mrs Jabs was born at Maryborough and was the youngest daughter of Mr Adam Fuchs, of the Pocket, Maryborough. She was married at Maryborough and had resided here all her life. Her husband, the late Mr Ferdinand Jabs, predeceased her six years ago. She is survived by a family of three sons, Messrs Ferdinand and Victor (Maryborough), and Eric Jabs (A.I.F.) and six daughters, Mesdames E. T. Bechly (Maryborough), W. A. Nitschinski and M. C. Schmidt (Island Plantation), A. G. Baumgardt (Maryborough), T. Kilpatrick (Brisbane), and Miss Beryl Jabs (Maryborough). There are two brothers, Messrs August and Carl Fuchs (Maryborough), and two sisters Mrs M. Zahn (Bundaberg), and Mrs M. Rosendale (Townsville). There are 18 grandchildren. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon from the Lutheran Church, John Street. It was largely attended by relatives and friends of the deceased.
