MR. F. JABS
The death of Ferdinand Jabs, aged 69 years, occurred late last night. The deceased was a well-known and respected resident of Maryborough. Born in Germany, he came out to Queensland 52 years ago, landing at Maryborough and had resided here since. He was a butcher by trade, having worked with several firms in Maryborough. He was a very old member of Excelsior Lodge. No. 1. P.A.F.S.O.A.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Jabs and a family of three sons— Messrs. Fred Victor and Eric Jabs (Maryborough) — and six daughters, Mesdames E. T. Bechly (Maryborough), W. A. Nitchinsk, C. Schmidt and A. G. Baumgart (Island Plantation), Misses Olive and Beryl Jabs. There are ten grandchildren.
The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Lutheran Church, John-street.
