Another Overseas Casuality for Midland County
Wednesday evening papers contained the name of Joseph Demski as having been killed in action overseas. Mr Demski was a resident of Larkin Township, where his mother now lives, his father having died. He enlisted about a year ago.

The body of Joseph Demski, a member of Co A, 128th Infantry, and one of Midland county lads who gave his life for his country in France, arrived in Midland last week and was taken to the home of his brother Albert Demski, on Indian Street. Mr Demski was born 1/1/1890 in Larkin Township and was killed in action Sept 1, 1918, in the St Mihiel Drive and at the time of his death was 28. The funeral was held at St Brigid's church, solemn high mass was conducted by three Priests. The service at the cemetery was conducted by about 35 men from the American Legion, members of this organization acting as pallbearers and burial was made in Calvary Cemetery. From the time the remains arrived in this city the flag at the courthouse ws flown at half mast until after the funeral.
