Death of 65-year old Adolph Holson (sic) in Manitowoc Rapids on 24 Feb (1885). He leaves seven grown children and was one of the oldest settlers of the town Manitowoc Rapids. He was buried Fri. morning in the Catholic Cemetery in Manitowoc.
Der Nord Westen
Note: Baptised at St Clements (10 Aug 1819) in Hiltrup which is now part of Muenster. There was a farm Holsen in Hiltrup. His father's name was Dieckhoff. I presume that the Holsen name came from the farm.
