Daughter of Humphrey PINNEY and Mary HULL.


Born on 19 Nov 1648 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.


She married widowed William Phelps Jr. on 20 Dec 1676 in Windsor, at age of 28 years. She was his 2nd wife. They had no children.


She married 2nd to John Mansfield, son of John Mansfield and Mary Shard, on 13 Dec 1683 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut. They had four children: John Mansfield (1683-1690); Sarah Mansfield (1685-1744); Samuel Mansfield (1687); and Mary Mansfield(1689-1745). 



John and Sarah wrote a joint will, dated 1 February 1726/7 and proved 5 December.

"John Mansfield and Sarah Mansfield of Windsor" bequeathed to:

our daughter Mary Searles, wife of James Searles of North Hampton that which she has already received. And next, we give son Cornelius Phelps, his wife Sarah all our moveable estate. The said James Searles and his wife receive their 25 within two years after our decease. And our son and daughter Cornelius Phelps and his wife, they are to have the improvement of our estate from this time, only we to have the use of them as long as we live. And we hereby nominate and appoint our son Cornelius Phelps to be our executor.





Don't confuse her with William's brother Samuel's wife Sarah.
