Charles H. Haver, an aged and well known citizen, died at his home near Jefferson, Friday afternoon, January 4, aged almost 8 years. His death was due to influenza and penumonia with which he was ill only four days. Mr. Haver was a son of John and Jane Rex Haver, deceased, and was born January 22, 1849, and had spent his entire life in the Jefferson community. He had bought and sold livestock extensively and was widely known throughout the county. Mr. Haver was a member of the Presbyterian church and took an active interest in the affairs of the church. His wife, Mrs. Isabella McClure Haver, died twenty-five years ago. Three children survive, Clyde Haver of Wellngton, Alabama; W. O. Haver of Chicago, and Mrs. Paul Feitt of Jefferson. One brother, James Haver of Fullerton, Colorado is the only surviving member of a family of eleven children.
