JANESVILLE - On Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, Jeane Ellen Mansur went home to be with the Lord following a brief illness at Mercy Hospital. Jeane was born on April 23, 1934, in Janesville, WI, to Rex and Creta (Brown) Addie. She spent most of her life in Rock County. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Mansur, on Sept. 6, 1952, at Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church. They operated the family farm for many years in the Johnstown area. Together they have 6 children: Brian of Tampa, FL, Lea Jean (Dr. Eric Nimmo) of Wasilla, AK, Jim (Kristi) of Janesville, WI, Cheryl (Mike Blackford) of Cape Coral, FL, Dave (Cindy) of Milton, WI, and Jay (Penny) of Spring Arbor, MI.

Jeane found salvation at the age of 9 years at the Oregon Campground in Oregon, WI, and was a member of the Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Janesville, WI. Over the years she taught Sunday School and CYC at every grade level, including 7 years with the teens. In addition, she served as CYC director, Christian Education director, Sunday School secretary, and was a choir member. She was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society. She and her husband provided foster care for numerous young adults throughout the years. Later in life she enjoyed volunteer work, including being active in the Hospice program. She partnered with her husband for many years in the insurance and investment business.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert; her 6 children; 25 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and her brother, Lawrence Addie (Lynda). She was preceded in death by her parents; and her granddaughter, Melissa Joy. The most important thing to Jeane was being with her family. She made many memories with her grandchildren while shopping, having sleepovers, shopping, playing games and more shopping. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending winters in Cocoa Beach, FL. 'Grandma Wheetie' will be greatly missed by Mark Mansur (Somer) and Marcy Johnson (Britton); Nicodemas, Adrianne, and Nathan Nimmo; Mandle Roehl (Mike), Katie, and Karley Mansur; Shara, Celeste Carlson (Brice), Jonathan, Cameron, and Brianna-Lyn Blackford; John, Brittany, Becky, Sarah, and Scott Mansur; Kayla DuBois (Jon), Karie (fiance, George Woki), Leanne, Lisa, Kassondra, Kevin, and Joel Mansur; and her great-grandchild, Carter Roehl.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 1:30 p.m., at Emmanuel Free Methodist Church, 2618 Mt. Zion Ave., Janesville, WI. Interment will be at Johnstown Center Cemetery.
