Geraldine "Gerry" Batzel, 80 years old, entered into rest on March 15, 2014. She is survived by husband of 61 years, Theron Batzel. Son, Brian Batzel of Jacksonville Fl. Grandsons, Desmann and Dustin Batzel of Lexington SC. Sister, Betty Turner of Stone Mountain, GA cousin, Preston Leach of Braselton, GA.
Gerry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs.Batzel was born and lived a great deal of her life In Stone Mountain, GA. However the last twenty years she resided in Augusta, GA.
Gerry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta and West Lake Country Club. The family will receive friends Tuesday March 18, 2014 from 11 am- 1pm, with the funeral service at 1pm with Dr. Dennis Rogers officiating, with burial at Melwood Cemetery.
