Funeral services were held Friday, July 26, 1957 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the St. Olaf Church in Ann township for Mrs. O. A. Anderson with the Rev. Stan Eyberg in charge of the services. A Ladies Chorus sang. The pall bearers were: Bert Johnson, Henry Gullickson, Arthur Swanson, Severin Kopperud, E. K. Kopperud, O. F. Pederson. Interment was made in the St. Olaf cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Alton Nelson, as 12:20 a.m. Wednesday morning, July 24th, after an illness of several months duration, having reached the age of 73 years, nine months and three days.

Mrs. Anderson, whose maiden name was Ida Bertina Fingarson, the daughter of Fingar and Christie Fingarson, was born October 21, 1883, in Waseca County, Minnesota. As an infant she was baptized in the North Waseca Lutheran Church. Later she was confirmed at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church by the late Rev. Hans Magelssen. When she was seven years old, the family moved to a farm in Murray County where she grew to womanhood.

As a young woman she taught school for several years.

On September 12, 1912, she was married to Oscar A. Anderson in the St. Olaf Church in Ann township. They established their home on a farm in Ann Township where they lived until three years ago when they moved into their home in the village of Walnut Grove.

Three sons and one daughter were born to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Oscar A. Anderson, two sons, Earl and Arvid Anderson of the Revere vicinity, and a daughter (Lyla) Mrs. Alton Nelson of rural Walnut Grove. One son, Glenn, died in 1928. She is survived by eight grandchildren: Lenis, David, Janice and Bonnie Nelson, Arlie, Bruce and Todd Anderson, and Karen Anderson. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Nordsiden (Clara) and Miss Agnes Fingarson, both of Walnut Grove, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. H. W. Fingarson, of Walnut Grove; three nephews and three nieces and other more distant relatives. Five brothers preceded her in death.

Among relatives and friends from a distance in attendance were the Rev. and Mrs. C. David Helgen of Austin, Robert Fingarson of Moorhead, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Peterson of St. Charles, Mr. and Mrs. Juel Brelie of Sacred Heart, Mrs. George Schultz of Springfield, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bedwell, Mrs. Hazel Bedwell and John Bedwell of Minneapolis, Mrs. Lena Anderson of Lakeville and Mrs. Ida Litland of Albert Lea.
