Johanna is the daughter of Michael SIGWALT and Maria Magdelena KELLERMANN.

Johanna was born Sunday, September 11, 1757 at 3 pm., and was baptized September 12, 1757 in the Muttersholtz Protestante Church.

Johanna married Johann Georg GISSELBRECHT in January 31, 1786 in Muttersholtz in the Muttersholtz Protestante Church, three years before the French Revolution. Together they had several children, but only a few lived past infancy in those tumultuous times. Some of their children are recorded in the Muttersholtz church records, and some are recorded in the French Civil Registeration which began in 1792.

Johanna died in Mutterholtz, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France in 1832. She is buried in the Mutterholtz Evangelique Cimetiere (Muttersholtz Protestante Churchyard Cemetery).
