Mr. Abraham "Abe" Mason age 84 of Columbia passed away Sunday January 18, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 11 :00 a. m. til 12:00 noon at Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church with services to follow at 12:00 noon at the Church.
The body will Lie-in-State Friday from 12:00 til 6:00 p. m. at V. K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 til 6:00 p. m.
Interment is in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

A native of Giles County he was the son of the late Rev. John A. and Cora Alexander Mason. He received his education in the Giles County school system. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was retired from the Monsanto Chemical Company after 25 years of service. He later owned and operated a Barbeque restaurant called "Mason's" Place and served as landlord and 3rd Ward Constable.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dora Mae Mason; three daughters, Trever Mason, Dora Vendella Booker and Annie Louise Riddle and four sons, Reginald Mason, Craig Mason, Eric L. Mason and Leon Booker; A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two sons-in-law, other relatives and friends.
