GREATHOUSE, STEPHEN PATRICK, died of a heart attack in his home at Robert E. Lee Retirement Inn, in New Albany, IN, on December 4, 2013. He was 61.

Pat was born on June 26, 1952, to Dr. and Mrs. Richard F. Greathouse, of Jeffersontown, KY, where he grew up. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1970. He attended Washington University, where he made straight A's in pre-med studies. He was fluent in Spanish.

He served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed gardening and auto mechanics. Pat was a friend to many, and many called him their friend. He was extraordinarily generous and willing to help others.

Pat is survived by his father; his brother, Lee Greathouse, of Washington, D.C.; his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Peter Feng, of Albuquerque, NM; and his nephews, Tom and Elliot Feng.

Pat was succeeded in death by his mother, Martha Greathouse, in April 2014. A combined memorial service will be held for Patrick and Martha at 7 p.m., June 25, 2014, at Jeffersontown Methodist Church, 10219 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40299; 502-267-1437. Graveside services will take place on Pat's birthday, at 2 p.m., June 26, 2014, at Lexington Cemetery, in Lexington, KY.
