Ruby Kendzora, 75, of Duluth, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, in Viewcrest Nursing Home. Visitation was one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Mass at the Foley Chapel on Wednesday. Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangements were conducted by Hegstrom Family Funeral Homes.
Mrs. Kendzora was born June 8, 1924, in Esko to Alfred and Emma Albertson. She graduated from Esko High School. Ruby was a beautician and lived most of her life in Duluth. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Wallace "Wally" Kendzora of Duluth; one son, John Smith III and his wife, Angela, of Duluth; three stepdaughters, Joanne O'Bryan of Denver, Colo., Susan Godin and her husband, David, of Mansfield, Texas, and Mary Jo Wiedel and her husband, Jerry, of Conifers, Colo.; one brother, Leroy Albertson of Duluth; two sisters, Effie Rohe and her husband, Herb, of Nevada, Mo., and Margret Cicci of Seattle, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Myrtle Olson, Adena Clark and Ruth Albertson; one brother, Gordon Albertson; and one grandson, Ion Wiedel.
