Robert "Bob" Fitch, from Torrington, WY., passed away on June 21, 2014 at Seven Lakes Memory Care in Loveland, CO. Bob was born in Gillette, Wyoming on July 15, 1922 to Mary and Glenn Fitch. Bob had three brothers, Punk, Fred, and Bill and two sisters Mary Gay and Phoebe Ann. Their family lived on the middle Prong of the Powder River. Bob graduated in 1941 from Gillette High School, where he was president of his class for four years. Bob married Helen Freer, his high school sweetheart on May 25, 1942. They had a daughter Toni Jo in 1948. They moved to Torrington, WY. in 1952 where Bob lived until 2012. Bob's home and memories were always in Wyoming. Bob was the Chief Brand Inspector for the State of Wyoming until his retirement. His ranching experience made for a love of the industry. Bob and Helen enjoyed dancing to the big band music, the Wyoming Cowboys, raising horses, golf, travel, and their close relationships with family and friends. Bob was a member of the Wyoming Stockgrowers Association, Royal Neighbors and a lifetime member of Elk's Lodge #1726 in Torrington, WY. He was a past member of the Torrington Jaycees and the Cottonwood Country Club. Bob is preceded in death by his wife Helen; his parents Mary and Glenn Fitch; his three brothers Punk, Fred and Bill and his sister Mary Gay. Bob is survived by his daughter Toni and her husband Bruce Kottwitz, of Loveland, CO; grandsons Bryon Kottwitz and Mike Kottwitz and Mike's wife, Aislinn; 2 great grandchildren Tatum and Cashlyn Kottwitz; sister Phoebe Ann Gligorea and all his nephews and nieces. Bob was born with a love of life and all who knew him benefited from the love. The family would like to send a special thanks to the caring staff at Seven Lake Memory Care and Front Range Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seven Lakes Memory Care in care of Allnutt Funeral Service. Services for Bob will be held in Torrington, WY. at a later date.
