"Irene Kittle, 79, died Jan. 1, after a lengthy illness. Born in Belington, W. Va., she lived in the Akron area all of her life. She was employed for many years as a cafeteria manager with East Liberty School. She was a member of the Portage Lakes Eastern Star No. 567. She is survived by son, John of Akron; daughter, Roxana Rose of Green; grandchildren... four great-grandsons. Calling hours will be TONIGHT 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, Suburban South Chapel, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Rt. 619). Graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at E. Liberty Cemetery. The family wishes in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the City of Green Paramedics."
