Former San Joaquin Medical Leader Dies
LODI, San Joaquin CO.-Funeral services for Dr. Raymond L. Owens, 60, of Livermore, past president of the San Joaquin County Medical Society and a physician and surgeon for 26 years in Lodi, will be held at 10 AM toorrow in the Lodi Funeral home.
Dr. Owens died yesterday in a Livermore hospital. He had moved to Livermore three years ago.
He came to Lodi as a physician in 1927. He was a veteran of World War I, member of the Lodi Post, No. 22, of the American Legion, the Lodi Rotary Club and Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.
He was a native of Purcell, Okla., and moved to Turlock in 1911, where he married the former Leila Bradbury.
He leaves his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Hopkins of Sunnyvale, sons, all of whom are dentists, Drs. Lloyd L. Owens of Lodi, Larry R. of Sacramento and Cyril of San Francisco; brothers, William of Ceres and E.F. of Turlock and sister, Mrs. C.B. Vaughn, also of Turlock.
