Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Bill and Mike Dees, her sons, officiating.
Ms. Dees was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Tucumcari, N.M., to Emma and William Melvin Gambill. She married Beecher Dees on Dec. 17, 1932, in Frederick, Okla. Throughout her life she loved to oil paint. She was a loving mother and grandmother and instilled a love of music in all who knew her. She was a loving wife for 66 years and was a sweet Christian woman. She attended Gardener Street Church of Christ in Borger, the Church of Christ in Ozark, Ark., and Southwest Church of Christ in Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1998; a son, Val Dees in 1999; and a granddaughter, Pam Dees in 1976.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Dees and wife, Peggy, of Fritch and Bill Dees and wife, Nancy, of Reeds Springs, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or a favorite charity.
