Roy Earl Coker, 67, of Pelzer, SC, husband of Barbara Ann (Duncan) Coker, died Friday, February 3, 2006, at his home.

Born May 23, 1938, in Greenville County, he was son of the late Ellie Roy and Grace (Ellison) Coker.

Owner and operator of Coker's Meats and Processing from 1976 to 2006, he was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Piedmont, Angus Cattlemen Association, and a Mason.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Rita Coker Freeman (Ted) of Pelzer; sons, Eddie Coker and Ronnie Coker (Cheryl) all of Pelzer; sister, Joyce Norwood of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Melissa Freeman, Amanda Mejean, and Jason and Lindsey Coker, all of Pelzer, and Brandon Coker of Greenville; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Freeman, Chandler, Aubrey and Benjamin Mejean, all of Pelzer.

He was predeceased by brothers, Melvin, Donald and Lewis Coker.

Services were 2:30 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2006 at the chapel of Gray Mortuary with the Revs. Ron Suttles and Grady Turner Sr. officiating. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Gray Mortuary.
