Daniel Boone Hamilton, 76, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Annie Button, at Little Elm, Wednesday afternoon at 2:50 o’clock of pneumonia.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the Schmits Funeral Home, after which the body was shipped to Roswell, N.M. for burial. Rev. E.E. White, pastor of the First Methodist Church, was in charge of the service.

Hamilton, a pioneer, having lived in Texas 67 years and in Denton County 33 years, is survived by the following children: Mrs. Button, with how he had been visiting six months, Mrs. Ada Hutson of Krim, Mrs. Pearl Rue of Spring Creek, Mrs. Ora Massie of Claude, Raymond Hamilton of Lubbock, Mrs. Jewel Ashford, Garland HJ. Hamilton and D. B. Hamilton of Amarillo, Mrs. Grace Oliver of Tom Ball, Mrs. Fay Everett of Goose Creek. A sister, Mrs. Sarah Copeland of Childress, also survives.

Hamilton was married in Denton County to Mess Annie Lee McCurdy, Oct. 16, 1879. She is now deceased. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was born in Arkansas Dec. 25, 1858
