Mrs. Margaret H. Scherf, 81, of Capitol Villa Nursing Center, formerly of 1909 Parkview Drive, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Springfield, Mrs. Scherf was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Frances Bowen Duffy.
Her husband, John "Jack" Scherf, died in 1978.
Mrs. Scherf was a member of Christ the King Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Helen Brownlow of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Ann Boyer of Springfield; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Church with Monsignor John Bretz officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
