He met his beloved bride, Giannamaria (Janet) Maulini, while stationed in Rome as a U.S. Embassy Marine Security Guard, they married June 19, 1965 in Rome, Italy. Jim was a man who could do almost any job he put his mind to and did it with respect and kindness to all who needed his help or advise. He was a great husband and father, always there for his family. Jim volunteered many hours in service to his communities. Jim loved the water and especially the Chesapeake Bay. Being a good steward of the Bay was very important to him. His preferred pastime was boating and fishing on the Bay. He also loved to snow ski, bike, and travel. Jim and Janet traveled to many places around the world together. Jim lived a full, good life.
