Mrs. Albert Shimek, 74, Reedsville, died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc. The former Mary Stradal was born March 28, 1909 at Riefs Mills,
the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Haas Stradal. She married Albert
Shimek in 1920.
Survivors include her husband, sons, Milton, Brillion; the Rev. Andrew C.S.C.,
Korea; Paul, Cato; Henry, Reedsville; daughter, Mrs. Joel (Mary) Thompson,
Valders; Mrs. Lester (Sylvia) Zipperer; Mrs. Paul (Kathryn) Braun, Cato; Mrs.
Harold (Mabel) Bodart, Reedsville; Mrs. Michael (Dorothy) Oneil, Valders;
brother, Joe Stradel, Kellnersville; sister, Mrs. Emily Moran, Milwaukee; 44
grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A son and two
granddaughters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
