Janice A. Theisen, age 78, of 2215 Rheaume Road, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
May 24, 2009, at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1931, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Morris
and Louise (Dietrich) Mullins. Janice graduated from Reedsville High School with
the class of 1949. On Aug. 3, 1951, she married Joseph S. Shimek at St. Boniface
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1974. Later,
Janice married Ervin Theisen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reedsville. He
preceded her in death on April 9, 1993. Janicie was employed at the dental
clinic in Reedsville as a dental assistant for many years. She was a member of
the Christian Mothers of Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Janice
also was an avid bridge player who enjoyed playing in marathon tournaments.

She also was preceded in death by one sister: Ruth Williams and four brothers:
Paul Mullins, Jim Mullins, Barney Mullins and Phillip Mullins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at St. Francis
of Assisi on Waldo, North 14th Street and Waldo Boulevard, Manitowoc. Officiating
at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial
to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Reedsville.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27,
2009, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. The
visitation will continue from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 8:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Holy Family
Memorial Cancer Care Center, Holy Family Hospice and also Manitowoc Health and
Rehabilitation Center for the compassion and care given to Janice and her family.
