Ruth Louise (Mullins) Willems, age 78, of Reedsville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

She was born on July 1, 1930, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Maurice and Louise (Dietrich) Mullins. Ruth married Robert "RH" Willems on Nov. 28, 1953, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She worked at the Brillion Iron Works for many years. Ruth was a member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion, the Reedsville Lioness Club, Reedsville American Legion Auxiliary, and bridge club for many years.

Survivors include her three children: Greg (Jeanne) Willems of Rothschild, and their children, Ted of Minneapolis, Minn., and Maggie of Madison; Mary (Tom) Pfeffer of Appleton, and their children, Kate (Jon) Bleier of Madison, and Angela of Madison; and Jack (Jan) Willems of Reedsville, and their children, Sam and Connor, both of Reedsville; a sister Jan Theisen of Manitowoc; and two sisters-in-law: Darlene Mullins of Brownsville, and Dorothy Mullins of Manitowoc.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Robert, on July 21, 2008; her parents; her stepmother: Elizabeth Mullins; brothers; sisters; and mother-in-law and father-in-law: Jim and Carmen Mullins; Barney and Val Mullins; Paul Mullins; Phillip Mullins; Joe Shimek; and Erv Theisen.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mathew Simonar will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Reedsville.

Friends may call at the church on Thursday, March 19, 2009, from 4 until 8 p.m., and then again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.
The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.Her children wish to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital and the entire staff at Manor Care East for the wonderful care they gave to Mom.
