GASSAWAY - George William Van Buren. 91, of Rosedale, Braxton County, died Thursday after a long illness. A retired farmer, he was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church at Rosedale.
Surviving are his wife. Sophia: two sons, Donald in Japan and David of Rosedale: seven daughters, Mrs. Hallie Abersold and Mrs. Flossie Hardway of Fairmont, Mrs. Ethel Morris of Widen, Mrs. Fanny Alkire of Butler, Pa., Mrs. Edna Nichols of Rosedale, Mrs. Audrey Bourne of Minnora and Mrs. Gertrude Bennett of Chloe: a half brother, John Cox of Parkersburg; 40 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Services were to be held today at 2 p.m. in Rosedale Methodist Church by the Rev. Johnnie Alfred. Burial was to be in Mill Fork Cemetery.
