Margaret M. Wisnowski, age 76, passed away July 8th at Serenity Homes of Stoughton, surrounded by her family.

Margaret was born August 12, 1937 in Clarks Mills, Wisconsin to the late Christina(Kresser)and Raymond Thone. In 1956, she graduated from Valders High School. On June 29th, 1963 she married Ronald R. Wisnowski at Gjerpen Lutheran Church, Valders. The couple lived in Manitowoc where they were members of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Margaret was an active member there, of the the Ladies Aid, the Altar Guild, the ladies Canasta Club, and chaperoning the youth group. Margaret also worked at Montgomery Ward's Snack Bar. In 1986, Ronald and Margaret moved to Sun Prairie where they joined Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She worked at Shopko, Madison East. Margaret enjoyed country and gospel music, she was an avid reader, who also enjoyed cross word and other word puzzles. Margaret loved games, whether it was board games with her grandchildren, canasta and other card games with her kids or sheepshead with her card club, she always played with a smile. Margaret enjoyed her grandchildren and telling anyone who would listen about them. Above all, she treasured God's word and her faith in Jesus.

Margaret is survived by her three children: Tim (Vickie) Wisnowski, Patti Daugherty, Kathy (Chip) Georgi all of Sun Prairie. Eight grandchildren: Heather (Derek) Kilian Marshall, Jessica (Jay) Beranek, Sun Prairie, Megan Wisnowski, Whitewater, Brandon Daugherty, Justin, Mitchell, Stephanie, and Colin Georgi, all of Sun Prairie, and five great-grandchildren: Dyalan, Austin, Wyatt, Noah and Chloe. Brothers and Sisters: Bertha Kulnick, Manitowoc; Raymond (Lorraine) Thone, New Holstien; Audrey Leicht, Manitowoc; Kenneth (MaryAnn) Thone, New Holstein; and Marlene (Leonard) Kohlmann, Manitowoc and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her in-laws, Frank and Alice Wisnowski, sister and brothers: Betty Jane Thone, Ralph Thone and Donald Thone. Brothers and sister-in-law: Charles Kulnick, Elaine Thone and Donald Leicht. Nephews Terry Kohlmann and Jeffrey Thone.

Funeral Services will be held at Cress Funeral Home 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 12:30pm. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memory Gardens, Manitowoc. In lieu of flowers ,the family suggest memorials be made to the
Alzheimer's Association
or Colonial Club.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Serenity Homes, Stoughton for making Margaret's last months comfortable and to Kristin and the staff of the former Highlands House, Sun Praire for the many years they showered Margaret with their love and care. Also, to Agrace Hospice, both of Madison and Janesville.
