Mrs. A.J. Davis, 77, died at her home in Purdon. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Purdon, with burial in the Dawson Cemetery. Mrs. Davis had resided in Navarro County for sixty-two years. Surviving are four sons, E.L., A.C. and W.H. Davis, all of Purdon, and P.B. Davis, Corsicana; four daughters, Mrs. F.C. Ford and Mrs. M.W. Tickle, both of Purdon; Mrs. Sid Durbin, Houston, and Mrs. Ben Shell, Blooming Grove, and twenty-four grandchildren.
