Origen Hartson died at 2:30 Sunday at the home of his son, Charles Hartson, near Stokes. He was a son of Alfred and Lectia Hartson. He married Sallie Robbins 57 years ago in the home where he died, and she died 27 years ago. All his life was spent in the towns of Lee and Western. He was a member of the old Delta M. E. Church and when that village was submerged for the big storage reservoir, he united with the Lee Center M. E. Church. Four children survive, George of this city, Mrs. George Teal of Vernon, Mrs. N. B. Smith of Kirkland, and Charles of Lee, also two brothers, Monroe Hartson of Western, and Clark Hartson of Lee Center. The funeral will be held tomorrow at the home of his son. Interment to be in Evergreen Cemetery.
