She was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 13, 1950 to Bertha Lee Atkinson Irwin and Floyd Kelsey Irwin.
She has been a resident of the Port Arthur area since 1981.
Kris worked in the Seafood industry all her life and owned Buccanneer Seafood. She was the Captain of the Krewe of Neptune and Parade Director. She was one of the organizers of Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 5-9pm with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
Funeral Service will be at 2pm Monday, July 14, 2014 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-son, Rudy J. Adam, Jr.
Kris is survived by her husband, Rudy J. Adam, Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas, her step-children, Talisa Comeaux of Port Bolivar, Texas, Rickey Adam of Bridge City, Texas, Rodney Adam of Port Bolivar, Texas and Ryne Adam of Port Arthur, Texas, her sisters, Elouise Carpenter of Port Bolivar, Texas and Teddi Irwin of Oklahoma, her brother, Sammy Irwin of Austin, Texas along with 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as her niece and caregiver, Lisa Valastro among many nieces and nephews.
