Genevieve Halladay, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Monday at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Wysocki Sutcavage.

She was a graduate of the Wilkes-Barre School District and Taylor Hospital's Licensed Practical Nursing Program.

She resided in Wilkes-Barre for many years and the Red Rock area for 15 years, where she and her husband owned and operated the Deer View Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven, in 1990; brothers, Chester and Joseph; sisters, Vern Ebert, Wanda Fairty, Sophie Golomb and Mary Capak.

Surviving are a son, Robert, Mildred; a sister, Helen Sutcavage, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, Walter, Crafton; Albert, Trucksville; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday from the Metcalfe & Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Michael Shambora of the Wyoming United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to the time of the service on Thursday
