Bio:
Eva married her 1st husband, Charles Avril Rubadeux, 13 May 1897, Lucas, Ohio. She married her 2nd husband, Stanley Lechlak, 5 Aug 1920, Lucas, Ohio. Eva grew up speaking English and German. She asked her grandchildren to call her 'Oma.' She believed she was of German heritage through her mother Marion Stout. Marion, however, did not know that the man she thought her father, Edwin Kellogg, a German man who spoke no English, was really her step-father. Marion's birth father was James W. Stout, Jr. , of New York. He went to fight in the war with Mexico and died there, in Puebla, Mexico, when Marion was very young. He was of English origin. Eva actually has no German in her line. Eva's parents were James McDowell and Marion (Stout) Miller. She had six siblings.[source: interview of Eva's granddaughter, Karan]
