Pauline "Polly" Williams Jack, born November 27, 1916 in Hemphill, Texas, passed away July 13, 2014 in Garland, Texas.

A loving Mother, Wife and Grandmother, she grew up in Hemphill, Texas, received her Bachelor of Science Degree from TWU and a Master's in Education from NTSU.

She began teaching in Alamogordo, New Mexico, eventually moving to Garland, Texas, where she taught elementary school, high school English and was a counselor. Later, she became the first Director of Guidance and Counseling in the Garland Schools.

Polly was active in numerous Garland organizations including Sequence Study Club, Garland Book Review Club, Ladies Social Club of Eastern Hills Country Club, and Garland Study Club. She was also a member of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Polly was married to Ward Smith until his death in 1973. After this, she married Wallace Jack in 1974. Polly was a member of the First Methodist Church of Garland for 64 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie Watkins and two sons, Rob and Jo Jack; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Polly loved her family and her many wonderful friends and her church. She will be remembered for her gracious manner and dedication to Garland, Family and Friends.
