West Frankfort - Thomas W. Gray, 89, of Route 3, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1987, in Normandy Hospital in St. Louis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, in The First Baptist Church, with burial in East Fork Cemetery east of West Frankfort. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today and from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Parker-Reedy Funeral Home and from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Mr. Gray owened and operated Gray Motor Co. in Frankfort Heights. He also was a real estate agent and farmer. He served as office manager for 20 years in the local congressional office of his son. U.S. Rep. Kenneth Gray (D-West Frankfort). He was a member of East Fork Baptist Church east of West Frankfort, and the R.W.I. Club. He was born Aug. 3, 1898 in West Frankfort to William and Alice C. Gray. He married Anna Reed. She died in 1971. He later married Lorene Hays Aderholt in 1983. She survives. Other survivers include two sons, Kenneth J., and Paul Gray, both of West Frankfort; one brother, Raymond Gray of West Frankfort; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. One son, three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
