Agnes was born on October 15, 1927, in Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Alexander and Magdaline (Wald) Bernhardt. She attended country school and worked very hard on the family farm.

Agnes received her GED and she became the supervisor over the receptionists at Mid Dakota Clinic where she worked until she retired.

Agnes had an awesome devotion to Jesus Christ. She loved to start her morning with a cup of coffee and her prayers. As the years went by, her prayer list became longer and longer. She was a member of Catholic Daughters and she volunteered at Hospice until she became too ill.

Her hobbies were walking, dancing, gardening, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, bowling, baking, and oil painting. She also made awesome kuchen.

Agnes loved her children and grandchildren and she always looked forward to their visits.

She is survived by her five children; her sisters, Ceil (Berhardt) Vianden and Angeline (Bernhardt) Kramer; her brother, Bill Berhardt; and her grandchildren, Korry Kleingartner, Sean (Melissa) Kleingartner, Darcy (Jason) Vest, Nikki Fitzgerald, Tanya Tekippe, Bill (Qinghua Jin) Mieloch, Charles (Amalia) Coons, Shannon (Dwayne) Fiest, Lindsey Keller, Meghan (Kyle) Hanson, and Leissa (Eric) Johnson. The family wishes to thank the staff at Maple View East in Bismarck and the Sanford on Sunset in Mandan where she was under hospice care.
