Waier, Stanley Age 82. Of Phelps, WI since 1978 and a winter resident of New Port Richey, FL and formerly of Two Rivers, WI, Milwaukee, WI and Iron River, MI, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his home in Phelps, WI.

He was born on June 3, 1923 in Two Rivers, WI to Stanley George and Tekla Waier. He worked for Oster Manufacturing in Milwaukee, WI for 29 years and owned and operated Waier's Place in Phelps, WI. Stanley enjoyed fishing and gardening and he loved his large circle of family and friends. He served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater. He was a member of the Elks Club, the VFW and the American Legion in Iron River, MI.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Emma (nee Sauermilch) Waier; daughter, Diane; his parents; his brothers, Mike and Ben; and his sister, Marion.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Holm-Waier, whom he married on May 14, 1992 in Iron River, MI; sons, Donald (Cindy) Waier of St. Germain, WI, Mike (Mary) Waier of Woodstock, GA and Steve (Pauleyn) Waier of Phelps, WI; stepchildren, Connie (Del) Dzuik of Iron River, MI, Donald (Tammy) Holm of Wakefield, MI and Bucky (Jeannie) Holm of Iron River, MI; 8 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 4 step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI with visitation from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at the funeral home and additional funeral services at 1:30PM on Monday, May 22, 2006 with visitation from 11:00 until the time of service at Klein & Stengel Funeral Home in Two Rivers, WI. Burial will follow services at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers, WI.
