Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Saturday, December 23, 1961, page 2:
  Troy, IL--Mrs. Eugenia (Geanie) McDowell, 18, died in child birth Friday at 7:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland. The infant son also died.
  Mrs. McDowell was born Dec. 24, 1942 at East St. Louis, the daughter of the late Mark Livingston and Mrs. Trumon Livingston Perrell.
  Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Cecil McDowell; three children, Mark Allen, Robin Sue and Kelly Ann McDowell; two brothers, James Perrell of Midland, Tex., and Raymond Perrell, who is serving with the U.S. Navy; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Trumon) Hemmerle of St. Louis and Mrs. Harry (Janice) Frauenfelder of Indian Head, Mo.
  Mrs. McDowell had resided in Collinsville until 10 years ago when she moved to Troy.
  Friends may call at the Edwards funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday until the 2 p.m. final rites. Burial will be in Friedens cemetery.
