He married Drucila E. Reigle in June 1875 and fathered Mary C. (b. 08/01/76 - married a Smith). Drucila died January 1878 in Shamokin, Northumberland County, and he married widow Catherine Fulton, née Lawton, June 8, 1886. In 1890, he lived in Harrisburg, then relocated to Carlisle, but moved to Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia, in 1896. Cause of death is listed as "nephritis."
