From her obituary published in the 21 October 1919 issue of the Woodstock [New Brunswick] Press:

Mrs. John Stephenson died at 10 o'clock on Friday morning after a lingering illness. She was born at Canterbury, N.B., on Nov. 9, 1828, and was nearly 91 years of age, one of the oldest and most respected residents of the town. She is survived by four children Mrs. W. E. Dickinson of Elmwood, N.B., Mrs. Fred R. Logan of Stoneham, Mass., Daniel Stephenson of Woodstock, N.B., and Ludlow of Hartland, N.B. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, Rev. L. E. Ackland conducting the services.
