He was the son of Henry Bucher and Hannah Moser. He married Mary Bechtel on Aug. 3, 1865. He had the following children: Lily, Maurice, Hannah Martha, Sarah, Savilla, John and Issac. He lived most of his life in the Pottstown, PA area, until the early 1900's, when he moved to Niagra Falls, NY with his family. He returned to Pottstown for burial.
