Mary was the daughter of Sarah (nee Davidheiser) Eagle Bucher. She married Sebastian M. Bucher on August 3, 1865 in Pottstown. In the early 1900s the family relocated to Niagara Falls, NY. Mary died there in 1928, but her body was returned to Pottstown, PA for burial.
It is uncertain as to whom Mary's father was. Her mother Sarah married Jacob Eagle on December 21, 1852, a couple of years after Mary's birth. While several records show that Mary's maiden name was Eagle, her marriage record to Sebastian M. Bucher indicates her name was Mary Bechtel.
