Amanda Queen, age 67, of Cherokee, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 in a Cherokee Hospital.
A native of Cherokee, Mrs. Queen was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late Jonah Thompson and Nannie Catolster. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Queen, son, James Edward Queen, sister, Melinda Catolster, and brother, Minoch Catolster.

Survivors are son, Robert Queen and his wife, Frances, of Cherokee, NC, sisters, Margaret Sneed and Nellie Driver, both of Cherokee, NC, special adopted grandchildren, Bradley Park and Kenni Brooks, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Services will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 01, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Park officiating. Burial will be at the Queen Family Cemetery.
