Mary E. Gundlach, age 77, of Mineral
Point died on Wednesday, January
19, 2000 at her home
surrounded by her loving family.
The former Mary McGuire was born
on December 1, 1923 in Clyde
Township to Leo and Magdalene
(Moore) McGuire. She married
Clayton Gundlach of Highland on
April 11, 1957. She was a devoted
wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother and was an avid
quilter. Mary was a member of Ss.
Anthony and Philip's Parish in
Highland. Mary is survived by her
husband, Clayton of Mineral Point;
seven children, a sister, Rosemary
(Jerome) Laufenberg of Highland!;
two brothers, Harold (Lettaj
McGuire of Las Vegas, Nevada, and
Ronald (Betty) McGuire of Highland;
a sister-in-law, Dolly McGuire
of Highland; a brother-in-law, Joseph
Egan of Highland; as well as
many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by a
son, Lee Alton on July 2, 1961; her
father, Leo McGuire on December
19, 1960; her mother, Magdalene
McGuire on July 22, 1991; two sisters,
Musette Davenport on July 16,
1953, and Joan Egan on August 23,
1959; and three brothers, Emanuel
McGuire on March 8, 1944, Urban
McGuire on July 25, 1989, and
David McGuire on July 16, 1998.
